Não tenho nada contra o optimismo. Eu própria, sempre que posso, também sou optimista.

Mas tento ser criteriosa quanto aos motivos e objectos dos meus estados de espírito. Desbaratar optimismos e pessimismos, aplicá-los ao calhas e adjectivá-los ao deus-dará não faz o meu estilo. E não dá jeito nenhum. Em tempos de crise, também devemos racionalizar os estados de alma. Poupar alguns para o que der e vier.

Se o gajo fosse meu filho, entregava-o já à segurança social.

O Colóquio “A ética nas práticas antropológicas“, organizado e participado pelos alunos da disciplina de Éticas e Práticas da Antropologia, do curso de Antropologia da FCSH, é uma iniciativa pouco comum nesta fac. Habitualmente os semestres terminam na azáfama das frequências e dos trabalhos e esta “azáfama” é muito mais gratificante e com efeitos multiplicadores positivos. E é tanto mais importante, quanto a “antropologia aplicada” deve ultrapassar o seu estatuto tão menorizado na Antropologia com “A”.

O colóquio é aberto a todos os que quiserem assistir, entre as 10h e as 13 h, na sala 05 da Torre A, com entrada livre.

As intervenções dos estudantes versam temas tão diversos como a antropologia industrial, ambiental, o assédio no local de trabalho, os Direitos Humanos, a etologia humana, a luta contra a Sida, a cegueira como objecto de estudo antropológico, entre outros.

Entre o início de Junho e finais de Setembro decorrem as candidaturas ao Curso de Doutoramento em Antropologia na Faculdade de Ciências Sociais e Humanas da Universidade Nova de Lisboa para o ano lectivo de 2009/2010.

O Curso de Doutoramento em Antropologia funciona em articulação com o CRIA – Centro em Rede de Investigação em Antropologia, e ainda com o IELT e o CESNova.

O Plano de Estudos organiza-se em oito semestres e duas componentes: um Curso de Doutoramento com a duração de dois semestres, que confere um Diploma de Estudos Avançados em Antropologia, e a realização de uma Tese de Doutoramento, seis semestres, com a atribuição do Grau de Doutor em Antropologia.

Este 3º ciclo de estudos compreende as seguintes áreas de especialização: Antropologia Biológica e Etnoecologia; Políticas e Imagens da Cultura e Museologia; Antropologia das Migrações, Etnicidade e Transnacionalismo; Antropologia do Espaço e das Cidades; Poder, Resistência e Movimentos Sociais; Produção, Trabalho e Consumo; Religião, Ritual e Performance; Antropologia Aplicada, Cooperação e Desenvolvimento.

“Camponeses, Cultura e Revolução. Campanhas de Dinamização Cultural e Acção Cívica do MFA (1974-1975)” de Sónia Vespeira de Almeida é uma obra sobre uma das acções mais singulares da transição democrática portuguesa – as Campanhas de Dinamização Cultural e Acção Cívica do MFA – através das quais é possível conhecer o país que a revolução de 1974 descobriu.

Sónia Vespeira de Almeida é antropóloga. Nasceu em Lisboa em 1973.

Doutorou-se em Antropologia do Simbólico e da Cultura, no ISCTE, em 2008.

É investigadora do Centro em Rede de Investigação em Antropologia. Nos últimos anos tem-se interessado por duas áreas temáticas principais: construção da ruralidade e usos políticos da cultura.

Em 2008 foi distinguida com a menção honrosa do Prémio Victor de Sá de História Contemporânea.

A apresentação do livro será feita por João Leal, Paula Godinho e Vasco Lourenço.

De 28 de Abril a 28 de Maio de 2009, em Coimbra.
